Image: Shell fishhooks from NSW central and south coasts
Aboriginal shell fishhooks from excavated archaeological sites along the central and south coast of NSW. The hooks are made from the shell of Turban torquata. They first appear in archaeological sites in levels dating to ca 1000 years ago.
