Sheldon conserving a bark painting

Sheldon using an adhesive called JunFunori to consolidate or secure the fragile paint layers down onto the tree bark support. JunFunori is a natural adhesive material made from a refined sea weed collected from the seas around Japan. This type of conservation treatment is very delicate, requiring areas of paint to be tested for adhesion using one brush, and the adhesive applied using another brush.
