Image: Round tapa cloth after treatment
This bark cloth or tapa cloth is from Samoa. It was in the conservation lab for humidification treatment to relax creases and folds. It is one of many bark cloths from Tonga and Samoa that require treatment before they are rehoused on a rolled storage system.
