What is it made of?

It is made of silicon and oxygen. This variety of quartz is called rose quartz.

Where was it found?

Minas Gerais, Brazil.

What is it used for?

High quality rose quartz can be cut as precious stones. Poor quality rose quartz is a source of silica for making glass, paints and abrasives.
