Megan creates a custom fitting internal support structure for one of the Pacific masks up in the Conservation lab for treatment. A range of archival materials are used to ensure the mask is supported while treated and in storage. This is a very important step in the conservation process, as a well supported object is less likely to become damaged over time in storage or through handling.
