Mask E007888

A mask of a human face carved from turtle-shell. It is decorated with remnants of coloured paint and there is a carved fringe projecting from the front of the face - attached with string and resin. It is called "krar" by the Meriam people. It was collected and presented by H. Stockdale in 1898.
