Low oxygen pest treatments

Heather using a hand held heat sealer to seal a wooden bowl in high barrier plastic film for low oxygen pest treatment. Oxygen is removed from inside the bag by pumping nitrogen into the bag and then sealing the bag when the oxygen levels have reached 0.1%. This low oxygen environment must be maintained for at least 6 weeks to ensure all stages of insect life are killed.
