Image: Kristel cleaning feathers with ethanol
Kristel removes dirt from the long fragile feathers of this object using ethanol. Cotton wool swabs are dipped in ethanol and gently rolled onto individual feathers. Blotting paper is placed under the feather to help draw the dirt out and away from the feather.
