It can’t be plastic - Stanley Breeden

We love to go as we close as we can to small species. There are always wondrous and unexpected surprises. The wrap-around eyes, hairiness and ball and socket antennae of the rainforest longicorn beetle Pelargodarus aruensis are strange enough. But what is that band of ‘stuff’across his face? It looks like plastic!
