Indonesian Textile E66098A

This 'ikat adat' or traditional ikat is a hand-woven woman’s sleeping dress. It was made in Lembata Island, Nusa Tenggara in East Indonesia in the early 1970's. This ikat was made for the collector as a copy of an older textile of the same type.
