Image: Homo habilis lower jaw
Cast of a lower jaw OH 13 nicknamed 'Cindy’. This 1.7-million-year-old lower jaw was discovered in Olduvai Gorge, Tanzania in 1963. This is a poorly preserved and fragmentary specimen of a probable 15-16 year old female H. habilis.

Additional information
The jaw was found with other pieces of the skull including the maxilla, several teeth, and pieces of the cranial vault, and some postcranial elements, including a small piece of the lower arm bone (proximal ulna).
