Notes

Grey Mangroves grow up to 10 m tall. These trees have green oval leaves. They also have aerial roots, which stick out of the mud, close to the base of the trunk.

Grey Mangroves grow along Australia's coastline. They can be found along the intertidal zone, along estuaries and coastal rivers, and in sheltered mud and sand.

Snails feed on algae on the tree surfaces and crabs eat fallen leaves.

Grey Mangrove Trees live in water-logged ground. Aerial roots sticking up out of the water and mud help the trees to 'breathe'.
