Image: Grave, Collingwood Bay, Oro Province, PNG
"Typical grave, Collingwood Bay. In preparing their dead for burial these people dress the body in new clothes, paint the face with red ochre, put on ornaments, and then wrap it up in pandanus leaf mats. It is then buried 2 ft underground and a little house is built over to keep the pigs off.", handwritten caption by Percy Money. Page 2 of Percy Money photograph album 1, AMS328/1/2.
