This nautilus shell forehead band is comprised of 41 pieces of rectangular Nautilus shell. A central hole has been drilled & native string threaded through, which draws the pieces together. It was collected by Dr Walter Edmund Roth in 1901 from Mapoon, Cape York, Queensland.
