Notes

Next we have Rebecca Lee from Roseville College in Sydney, with her untitled design inspired by a viperfish. The dress base is made from flyscreen, and black plastic sheets have been applied over the bodice. The scales over the skirt are made from cardboard covered in foil. Foil was used to convey the slick and shiny nature of a viperfish. Rebecca has mostly used plain aluminium foil, but coloured foil was used to cover a scale here and there, for some points of difference, and to line the skirt on the inside. The long, thin shape of the dress and its asymmetrical hemline aims to evoke the silhouette of a viperfish. The diamond shapes on the bodice refer to the long, sharp teeth of a viperfish.
