Image: FLW 2010 Finalists, Secondary School: Bonita and Jade
Jade Leggett models 'The Rainbow Lyrebird Evening cocktail dress', a design by herself and Bonita Alexander. Their design was inspired by the Superb Lyrebird, Menura novaehollandaie and the Rainbow Lorikeet, Trichoglossus haematodus.
Jade and Bonita were finalists in the Secondary School category of the Australian Museum competition Fashion Less Waste 2010: Biodiverse.
Materials
Flyscreen, rubber door seals, plastic bags, shells from wind chime, chicken wire, paint tubes and asthma inhaler parts
