Image: E078201 Club
E078201 club, wood, estern New South Wales, Australia.
This wooden club is from western New South Wales, Australia. The handle and head of the club form a continuous shaft. The club does not have a distinct head but increases slightly in diameter towards the head. There are three incised lines carved around the circumference of the head. A ridge towards the base of the club distinguishes the handle of the club. Small incisions carved into the handle of the club form a grip. The club was collected by Alexander Morrison in the late 19th or early 20th Century. It was acquired by the Australian Museum in 1982.
