This club is from St Clair Mission in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales, Australia. The club is carved from a solid piece of wood. It has a straight handle with a blunt base. The diameter of the handle increases towards the top to form the club's head. The head then tapers to a point. The club is small and light. It may have been made for the tourist or collectors market. The club was collected by Alexander Morrison in the late 19th or early 20th Century and acquired by the Australian Museum in 1981.
