This wooden club is from the northern New South Wales, southern Queensland area of Australia. The club has been carved from a single piece of wood. It has a straight handle with a pointed base. A band of carved, vertical ribs forms the head of the club. White pigment can be seen on the surface of the head. Above the vertical ribbing the head tapers to a point. The club was collected by Alexander Morrison in the late 19th or early 20th Century. It was acquired by the Australian Museum in 1979.
