This wooden club is from Queensland, Australia. The club has been carved from a single piece of wood. It has a straight handle with a pointed base. The diameter of the handle gradually increases towards the top to form the club's head. Spikes have been carved into the head of the club.The head tapers to a point above the band of spikes. White pigment covers the surface of the spikes. The club was collected by Alexander Morrison in the late 19th or early 20th Century. It was acquired by the Australian Museum in 1979.
