Coral - Michael Gillings, Open 2007

These coral polyps were photographed whilst I was snorkelling, at a reef off the coast of northern Borneo. Their structure shows how closely they are related to sea anemones. To get the shot in focus, I had to balance head down in the water with my fins sticking in the air!
