Sometimes tobacco is put into cigarette holders which are then placed in a hole in a larger tube that is used to draw the smoke. This cigarette holder was collected during 1930-37 by Mr Henry Eve, an oil company surveyor, and donated to the Museum in 1938.
Description: bamboo pipe; circular in cross-section; incised and pokerwork, brown, curviliear and geometric decoration; evidence of burning damage at one end.
