Additional information
This model was made by the German glass model makers Leopold & Rudolf Blaschka. The Australian Museum ordered the models in 1879 to complement its marine invertebrate collection. The models were displayed alongside spirit specimens until 1941. The models are held in the Museum's Archive Collection.
