Eureka Prize: A kaleidoscope of dust and gas in Orion

For promotion of New Scientist Eureka Prize for Science Photography only.

A Kaleidoscope of Dust and Gas in Orion - Captured over 12 hours, this image frames a region of the sky in the constellation of Orion known to southern observers as the handle of "The Saucepan". The combined atomic and optical processes coordinate to produce this stellar kaleidoscope of wispy details and colours.

Certainly the best image of this nebular I have ever seen. The detail you have captured enhanced with glorius colour takes your breath away. Just exquisite. Richard.
