7mm Beetle - Nigel Wright, Open Category

The quality of this beetle's camouflage was quite spectacular. Photographed at 2.3 times magnification on Fuji Sensia 100 slide film, using a manual/machanical 1971 Pentax Spotmatic II camera and 100mm F4 Macro SMS Takumar lens. Illuminated by three manual GN32 rated flashes. The background is a dried gum leaf.
