3.1 mm long postflexion larva of a Matsubara's Velvetfish, Matsubarichthys inusitatus.(I.36610-003). In this speciment the thick skin partially obscures the myomeres, and the illustrated myomeres are approximate. Diagonal lines indicate the gill exhalent opening. Broken lines are branchiostegal rays. Pectoral-fin pigment has been omitted.
