Numerous baby change facilities are available;

Level G: A private baby-care room is located just near our double-door lift, opposite the Skeleton Gallery. A change table is located in the ladies bathroom in this area, too.

Level 2: Baby-change facilities are found in the men's and accessible bathrooms and a shared parents' area is available in KidSpace.

First-aid or lost children

If you need assistance please contact the nearest staff member wearing a beige shirt with the Museum's blue echidna logo.


Bags can be stored in coin operated lockers in the Atrium on Level G. A $2.00 charge applies for 4-hour rental.


Flash and video photography are permitted in all permanent exhibitions and most temporary exhibitions. Please check with Australian Museum staff before taking photographs in the Indigenous Australians: Australia's first peoples exhibition.


Toilets are available on every level. Wheelchair accessible toilets are located on both Level G and Level 2. 


Free WiFi is available througout the Museum. Some exhibition labels contain extra online content which you can access from your own device.
