Come to the Museum at night for an exclusive private viewing of our new exhibition Garrigarrang: Sea Country which explores the economic, scientific and spiritual connections Aboriginal people have with the ocean.

Hear from exhibition co-curators Laura McBride (Creative Producer, Australian Museum) and Amanda Reynolds (Senior Exhibition Curator) and enjoy some Indigenous nibbles, drinks and time in the exhibition.

We’ll then move to the theatrette to hear from Chels Marshall, a renowned expert in ecology and Aboriginal marine science and knowledge. Chels will teach us about Aboriginal ways of reading the sky and stories in the currents, and open our eyes to Aboriginal cycles of living and connecting.

Come along to this special night and let Sea Country change what you thought you knew about traditional and contemporary Aboriginal knowledge about the ocean and tidal rivers.
