Introduction

The Common Grass Blue butterfly is seen in Sydney throughout most of the year, often in large numbers, particularly in open, grassy areas.

Identification

The Common Grass Blue is a small butterfly with a bluish lilac colour. The caterpillars are harder to find. They camouflage well among the grass and clover on which they feed.

Habitat
