It's been a huge week! An important new paper on the fauna of Sydney Harbour was published and all the monster-sized fishes were moved.
This week saw the completion of two huge projects. Five of us from the Australian Museum have used the museum's extensive database to show that Sydney Harbour is packed with life - as if you didn't know that already! We've documented the presence of over 3000 species from the harbour but there's so much more to discover. Our paper in Australian Zoologist has just been published. Read more on the blog post.
The week also saw the completion of the massive move of monster-sized specimens from the old tank area into the Research and Collections Building. The story will be the subject of a new blog post soon, but to whet your appetite, have a look at this great video that shows the fish team at work.
