The entries are in, now over to our judges for the hard part.
It's been a busy few weeks in the Eureka Prizes office. Online entries closed on 2 May, and hard copy entries for the Eureka Prize for Science Journalism and Sleek Geeks Science Eureka Prize closed the following week on 9 May.
Kristin and I are then responsible for processing all of the electronic entries for judging, as well as the hard copies. Check out the photo for what we have to deal with - it brings a whole new meaning to "You've got mail"!
Next, we email confirmation of receipt to everyone who submitted a hard copy. Sleek Geeks and Journos, if you sent in your entry (and can prove it) but haven't heard back, contact us ASAP!
Then it's up to our 60 incredible judges who sit on 15 panels to make some tough decisions about the next Eureka Prizes finalists and winners.
Stay tuned, finalists announced 8 August!
