Science in the City at the Australian Museum

Science in the City is a popular excursion for students. Here's what they enjoy about it!

On Wednesday, the 12th August Y6 and 4R students went on a science excursion to the Australian Museum. It was a special exhibit called “Science in the City”. We enjoyed this excursion very much. However, the day went so quickly and we would have liked to stay a bit longer because it was so exciting......We were overwhelmed by the large number of other schools at the Australian Museum. Initially we visited the insect and bird gallery where we photographed a lot of specimens. We saw some collections of spiders that were the size of our hands and the beautiful lyre birds with lots of amazing colours. Humongous butterflies were displayed and they had the most spectacular wings!........At the end of the day everyone was exhausted however, we all had a great time.
