Animal Species:Yellow-lipped Bat
Very little is known about Yellow-lipped Bats.They are mostly caught in areas of the Kimberley region that receive more than 800 mm of rainfall per year.
Habitat
Yellow-lipped Bats roost in sandstone and limestone caves. They roost together in colonies of up to 80 bats.
Feeding and Diet
Yellow-lipped Bats feed on insects.
Conservation Status
Yellow-lipped Bats are vulnerable to disturbance by human visitors to cave roosts and changes to feeding areas by agricultural activities.
