The Wavy Grubfish can be recognised by its white to brown body with a brown to blackish stripe along the upper sides. The species is endemic to Australia, occurring on rocky reefs and sandy and rubbly substrates.

Identification

The Wavy Grubfish can be recognised by its white to brown body with a brown to blackish stripe along the upper sides. The species has an elongate body, a long-based soft dorsal fin and a pointed snout.

Size range

The species grows to 11 cm in length.

Distribution

The species is endemic to Australia, occurring in inshore waters from eastern South Australia to the central coast of Western Australia.
