Where to park your car, set-down and pick-up points, entrances, getting around the Museum and facilities for visitors with disabilities.

Car Parking

Secure Parking in Riley Street and Enacon Parking under Cook and Phillip Park are close to the Museum and both have lifts. Check their websites for rates, times and maps:

To take advantage of the special rates for Museum visitors at Secure Parking in Riley Street, simply ask our Admission staff for a Universal Rebate Ticket (URT) to use when paying as you exit the parking station.

Set down and pick up and point for visitors with wheelchairs

The Museum offers a set-down and pick-up point for visitors with wheelchairs. Please note that due to limited space, this access must be booked in advance through the Security Control Room: (+612) 9320 6335.

Entrance to the Museum

At the corner of College Street and William Street enter the driveway with the boom gate and use the ramp down to the William Street Reception. A lift will take you from the Lower-ground level to the exhibitions on Levels G, 1 and 2.

Companion cards

General Admission is free to the companion of a person with a disability who is a holder of the Companion Card.

Borrowing a wheelchair

You may borrow a wheelchair during your visit. Please ask at the Admission Desk on arrival at the Museum.

Getting around the Museum

There are ramps throughout the exhibitions and two lifts to take you between floors. All doors are automatic.

Facilities

Wheelchair accessible toilets are located on Level G and also on Level 2, just inside the Search & Discover entrance near the lifts.
