Image Gallery: Tiwi Footy Man Sculptures
John Pilakui and Edward Malati Yunupingu visited the Australian Museum during NAIDOC Week in July 2010 to celebrate their Tiwi Footy Man sculptures commissioned for the Museum's collection. They worked with the Cultural Collection's Intangible Heritage Unit to record stories about their Footy Man sculptures, visited 'Yiloga! Tiwi Footy' exhibition and spent time in the Museum's collection stores. The visit was a joint partnership between the Australian Museum and the Tiwi Art Network.
