It's been movie week on the fish site. Many of the movies that appeared on the old site are now available. We took delivery of a Yellowfin Tuna that is now in the collection and has had tissues removed for future genetic work.
The big news for the week was the starring role that Mr Blobby played on the opening show of The Gruen Transfer. Additions to the site include some pretty 'nasty' images of damage inflicted by a Smalltooth Cookie Cutter Shark, new fieldwork galleries and finally an image of the mouth of a lamprey.
There are many questions to be answered about how this oil spill in the USA happened. What policy and procedures were in place to ensure an environmental catastrophe would be avoided if something were to go wrong?
