Image Gallery: Recent studies of Ordovician conodonts
In the last fifteen years, scientists from the Australian Museum and the Geological Survey of New South Wales have been actively working on Ordovician conodonts, mainly from Australia, New Zealand, and China. Two genera and eleven species have been recognized as new and many more species have been revised comprehensively. These studies have significantly advanced our current understanding of the Ordovician conodont biostratigraphy, biodiversity and biogeography in Australia and other eastern Gondawanan terranes. Here are some examples of this recent work.

Stratigraphic range and diversity of conodonts
Cooperignathus aranda (Cooper)
Erraticodon balticus Dzik, 1
Erraticodon hexianensis An and Ding, 1
Erraticodon bellevuensis Zhen and Percival
