Northern Pipistrelle

Introduction
The Northern Pipistrelle is one of Australia's smallest bats, weighing about 3 grams.
Habitat
Northern Pipistrelles probably roost in hollows in old trees.
Distribution
Feeding and diet
Northern Pipistrelles eat flying insects such as moths and small beetles. Forage above small creeks and tidal waterways in mangrove forests with a fluttering, acrobatic flight.
Breeding behaviours
Northern Pipistrelles are vulnerable to loss of roost sites in tree hollows and loss of feeding grounds by forestry activities, and clearing for agriculture.
