Two Fellowships for PhD students - The Lizard Island Doctoral Fellowship and the Ian Potter Doctoral Fellowship at Lizard Island each provide up to three years' funding for field work at Lizard Island Research Station for a PhD student.

Three Fellowships for early-career researchers - The Isobel Bennett Marine Biology Fellowship, the John and Laurine Proud Fellowship and the Yulgilbar Foundation Fellowship at Lizard Island each provide funding for field work at Lizard Island Research Station for researchers who obtained a PhD less than six years ago. Applications for the 2011 Fellowships close on 30 September 2010.
