Indigenous Australians - Stages 4-6 Teacher Notes
Students explore the Indigenous Australians: Australia's first peoples exhibition using written stimulus questions.
PLEASE NOTE: Our Indigenous Australians exhibition is currently undergoing renovation. Some elements of the exhibition have been changed in format or removed.
The eastern half of the exhibition space now displays objects from the Museum’s permanent collection and the western half now hosts special Indigenous art exhibitions.

- History - Stages 4 and 5

- Society and Culture - Stage 6
- Aboriginal Studies - Stages 4, 5 and 6
- Visual Arts - Stages 4, 5 and 6

At the Australian Museum
The students will use the focus questions in their activity booklet as a springboard to learning about the objects, artwork, reconstructions, oral histories, photographs and other materials in the exhibition.
Organisation of the day
It is recommended that no more than two classes be in the exhibition at any one time.
