E and ES Fossils - Stage 6
In this educator-led activitiy Earth and Environmental Science Stage 6 students use fossils to investigate a fossil site and the extinction of Australia's megafauna. They also view stromatolite and banded iron specimens.
Museum educator-led program
Students use the processes used by palaeontologists to reconstruct animals from their fossil remains by comparing fossils from extinct megafauna with bones from their modern-day relatives. They evaluate evidence for the two possible reasons for the extinction of Australia's megafauna.
