The Archives holds records of the Australian Museum's activities going back to 1836. It constitutes a unique collection of source material for students of natural history, science, Australian history and the changing role of museums in society. You can find out about the history of the Museum's zoological and anthropological collections, its historic and contemporary buildings and the people who have worked here over nearly two centuries.
